Auditions for The Patio Prom by A.M. Dean
Neighborhood Theatre Group is holding auditions for The Patio Prom – A New Comedy by A.M. Dean. Directed by Marisa Dluge.
Sunday, March 1 and Monday, March 2 from 6:30-8:30pm at The Back Office Studio (13 N Washington St, Ypsilanti)
Callbacks (if needed) will be Wednesday, March 4 at 7pm

Please be prepared to stay for the entire 30 minutes. Walk-ins will be seen but those with an audition time will be seen first.
Please bring all known conflicts to the audition as well as a headshot/resume if you have one.
Performance dates are May 8-10 and 15-17 at The Back Office Studio. Friday/Saturday at 8pm; Sundays at 2pm. Actors are called 1-hour before curtain.
Rehearsals begin Wednesday, March 11. Rehearsals are Mon/Tues/Wed evenings from 7-10pm and Saturday afternoons from 1-4pm. All rehearsals are in Ypsilanti
Tech week is May 2-7. You must be available for all of tech week.
Actors will receive a $100 stipend.
All races and ethnicities are encouraged to audition. Actors 18 and up that can play various age ranges
SHOW SYNOPSIS:
Once a year, the outdoor furniture salespeople of America (and other non-America places) descend on Chicago’s Merchandise Mart to buy, sell, meet, and greet. This year, they are pushed to the brink of sanity, during what is already a chaotic affair, when the Mart is locked down, leaving the people inside to make it through a night of ill-placed debauchery, reconnections to people thought lost to them, and poorly thought-out revenge plans.
CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS:
Leslie Ellis (40s-50s) – A patio furniture salesman. Male.
Raymond Duffy (40s-50s) – Leslie’s business partner. Male.
Austin Knowle (20s) – Day laborer. An aspiring actor. Male.
Shirl McClennon (40s-60s) – Leslie and Raymond’s rival. The self proclaimed Patio Prom Queen. Female.
Jill Ellis (20s) – Leslie’s Estranged daughter. A college student. Female.
Lori Wyzak (30s) – A Gold Coast Dog Walker. Female.
